Fehorizon’s Chairman, Executive Director and CEO Mr. Kong Fanxing and his party visited the offices in Chengdu, Guiyang and Chongqing from April 17-21 and the offices in Zhengzhou and Urumchi to May 16-18 for investigation and research symposium. Mr. Kong pointed out that, backed by the strategic positioning of “Backed by Mainland, Based in Hong Kong, Influencing Southeast Asia,” the Company should give full play to its globalized resource advantages, have a profound understanding of “marketization, internationalization, and specialization,” and expand the concept of “dual services”—serving both enterprises and entrepreneurs, so as to establish differentiated competitive advantages.

At the third stage of development featuring “globalization of resources and globalization operation,” the Company has come up with the strategic positioning of “Backed by Mainland, Based in Hong Kong, Influencing Southeast Asia” to give play to the role of the Hong Kong headquarters as a bridge and open up the strategic development space at home and aboard. Facing a constantly changing external environment, how can Fehorizon maintain its leading position in the competition? CEO Kong emphasized the following: keep in mind and utilize the three advantages of “marketization, internationalization, and specialization,” and combine them with the concept of “dual services”—serving both enterprises and entrepreneurs, which is the key to establishing Fehorizon’s core competitiveness in the next step.

 

Marketization

CEO Kong said, “We always believe that people are the prime factors of production, and the condensed knowledge of staff is our core productivity.” Fehorizon strives to create a just, fair and open platform for professional competition, adheres to the idea of “marketization” unswervingly and advocates “first-rate talent, first-rate achievements and first-rate returns,” with systematic and institutional advantages established.

 

Internationalization

As a Hong Kong-invested enterprise, Fehorizon should follow up with the request for going overseas to serve clients with the changing times. The Company has successively obtained Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 licenses approved by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and gradually established its cross-border financial service capability. By inviting mainland enterprises to its Hong Kong headquarters for visit, investigation and research, and discussion and cooperation, it has enhanced clients’ understanding of the Company and deepened mutual trust.

 

Specialization

CEO Kong expressed that we should take a comprehensive and systematic view at “marketization, internationalization, and specialization” and blend them harmoniously and grasp them thoroughly. On its basis, the Company has come up with the important concept of “dual services: serving enterprises and serving entrepreneurs.” These are high-end value-added services provided by the Company to enterprises, especially private enterprise clients: while providing good services for enterprises, it shall further satisfy the overseas demand of entrepreneurs and offer customized services to suit their needs for wealth, health, etc.

Public Utilities Acting as Vanguard to Guide Regional Coordination Services


Serving urban upgrade and industrial upgrade” is an important business strategy of the Company. Under the present circumstances, facing the demand of local governments for upgrading urban development and promoting high-quality urban development, the Public Utilities Department should renew its service mode: on the one hand, it should give full play to the role of Fehorizon as a Hong Kong-invested enterprise and its “marketization, internationalization, and specialization” advantages while doing good business as always; on the other hand, it should shoulder the responsibility for coordinating services in various directions of finance and industry. 


CEO Kong remarked that the Public Utilities Department should act as a vanguard of cooperation with the local government; it should guide, assist and serve the flank by advancing multiple types of business including infrastructure investment, asset business and equipment operation layer by layer, embed it into the regional economic system, and form the good situation of integrated services, diverse development and side-by-side advancement, so that the Company can serve the high-quality development of regional development on even more dimensions.

Providing Strategic Driving Force as an “Engine” 


Recently, an important step has been taken in China’s reform of financial regulators, and front-line business personnel are generally concerned with the influence of the continuous strengthening of financial regulation on the future development of this industry.

 

CEO Kong pointed out during the symposium:

1.Regulation is in essence continuous standardization of the industry and market to establish an environment for healthy competition, which is upheld and welcomed by the Company. In the past two decades since its relocation to Shanghai, Fehorizon has always persisted in operation in accordance with the laws and regulations, with every cent put into real economy while sticking to its own values. It has never surrendered to temptation in chaotic conditions, and remains adamant about its development direction. “No challenging policies or harassing the people” has always been and will always be the Company’s firm principle.

 

2.An enterprise needs to have even greater comprehensive abilities to cope with more standardized operation requirements and more challenging living environment. Taking a look at its status quo including business layout, asset structure, operation scale and profitability, Fehorizon has achieved certain accumulation through development in the past two decades, which gives us confidence to “seek an oasis in the desert and search for survivals in a sea of corpses” in the future.

 

3.As a Hong Kong-invested enterprise, Fehorizon’s strategic positioning of “Backed by Mainland, Based in Hong Kong, Influencing Southeast Asia” has created precious new opportunities for its future development. This year, with a new business operation center set up in Guangzhou in addition to Tianjin in the Bohai Rim region, Shanghai in the Yangtze River Delta and Guangzhou in the Pearl River Delta, the Company has completed its regional layout in North, Central and South China; with the Hong Kong headquarters taking the lead, it will act as an “engine” and create a systematic driving force, to provide important strategic support for enhancing the degree of Company’s integration with the Chinese economy, which will promote the Company to serve regional economy development in a more integrated and efficient manner.

Improving inclusive finance's comprehensive capabilities and assisting the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises


To provide financial support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises is the social responsibility of a financial enterprise as well as the Company’s internal need for perfecting its service system. According to CEO Kong, “Our goal is to become a financial service provider to serve micro, small and medium-sized enterprises comprehensively and systematically. How to draw lessons from domestic and foreign experience and find our own development path of inclusive finance is the next key topic of the Inclusive Finance Department during the next stage.”


At present, the development of the Company’s inclusive finance business has entered a new stage which requires further improvement. With the development of business, the expansion of horizon, the continuous improvement of service ability of inclusive finance business and the opening up of a new prospect, Fehorizon should also keep strengthening its management capacity, resource guarantee capacity and system operation and maintenance capacity correspondingly.


CEO Kong emphasized that a holistic view should be taken for the inclusive finance business. Rather than fighting a lone battle and going deep all by oneself, the Inclusive Finance Department should consider itself a constituent part of a large troop formation and a link of the Fehorizon system, and fully exploit the Company’s advantageous “finance + industry” layout across the nation.
