Far East Horizon Attended the Annual Exchange Meeting of the HKGCC
Recently, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) held its 2022 annual meeting for exchange with the China Committee in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Liu Yajun, Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of Trade Department of LOCPG, Qiu Yinghua, Director of Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, etc. were invited to the meeting, to conduct exchanges with the representatives of 24 mainland provinces and cities in Hong and the representatives of member enterprises of the HKGCC and together celebrate the grand occasion. The event was attended by Far East Horizon.
Established in 1861, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) is the chamber of commerce of the longest history and the largest size in Hong Kong. At present, it has 4000 member organizations, including a large number of transnational enterprises, local enterprises and renowned Chinese-funded institutions, covering more than half of the flagship listed companies in Hang Seng Index. As one of the most active committees under the governance of the HKGCC, China Committee is dedicated to promoting Hong Kong as a bridge between the mainland and the international society, maintaining the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong, and promoting the opening up and development of economy and trade.
According to the sharing of guests at the event, in the past 25 years, the rapid development of mainland China brought great business opportunities to Hong Kong, and Hong Kong’s investment in the mainland in turn accelerated the take-off of its open economy. All of these achievements can’t do without the contribution and support of all entities in business circles and institutions for the promotion of investment and trade. The 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China marks a new historical era for the development of Hong Kong. The economic and trade exchange between Hong Kong and the mainland will become even closer, and we hope the two sides can join hands for more brilliant achievements. The HKGCC expressed its intention of making continuous contributions to the development of Hong Kong and the entire nation in the next 25 years with the firm support of the central government plus the historic opportunity of the construction of the Greater Bay Area.
Far East Horizon always keeps in line with China’s development trend closely, and makes Hong Kong its strategic hub for “integration of global resources and globalization of operation.” It utilizes Hong Kong’s status as an international financial center to achieve international development, meanwhile attracting investment and talent to help Hong Kong give full play to its function as a bridge and serve the development of entity industry. This time, Far East Horizon attended the event as a long-term member of the HKGCC. During the event, it conducted in-depth exchanges with business people in Hong Kong, listened to their opinions on the future development of China and Hong Kong’s role, discussed the latest economic development and policies of Hong Kong and the mainland, and continued to expand the company’s international business network.
