01.Far East Horizon Entered the Forbes Global 2000 List for the 6th Consecutive Year
 

This May, Forbes issued its “2022 Global 2000” list, and Far East Horizon (03360.HK) was included in the list for the sixth consecutive year, ranking No. 1412 globally and No.36 among the listed companies of Hong Kong, China. Facing the grand challenges posed by the global pandemic and a turbulent situation not seen in a century, Far East Horizon continued to consolidate its strategic foundation, improve its integrated service capability, and advance steadily towards the strategic direction of “globalization of resources and globalization of operation.”

02.Far East Horizon Received the First ADB Rural Pandemic Response Award

On May 9, the first “ADB Private Sector Green Carpet Awards Ceremony” was hosted online by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Due to its outstanding contribution to epidemic prevention and control and medical care improvement in rural China over the years, Far East Horizon was awarded the “Rural Pandemic Response Award.” Vice President Ashok Lavasa of the ADB spoke highly of the Company’s contribution to rural pandemic response and narrowing the gap between urban and rural healthcare standards through financial support. Wang Mingzhe, Executive Director and CFO of Far East Horizon, attended the ceremony upon invitation and delivered a speech.

04.Horizon Construction Development’s Fengling Park Reconstruction Project Won the National Quality Engineering Award

Recently, the Fengling Park reconstruction project of Ziyang City, Sichuan Province invested by Horizon Construction Development won the “2020-2021 National Quality Engineering Award, which represents the highest honor of construction engineering quality in China. The Fengling Park reconstruction project of Ziyang is Horizon Construction Development’s first key project in Sichuan, and also a pilot project of the PPP Center of the Ministry of Finance. Previously it received the “2018-2019 Tianfu Cup Gold Award for Quality Construction Engineering of Sichuan Province,” and the new award has once again proved that Horizon Construction Development’s one-stop service capability with focus on “investment, financing, construction and transportation” is highly recognized by the government and industry. 

05.Horizon Construction Development Won Bid to the PPP Project of the Site Selection and New Construction of the 28th Middle School of Kunming

Recently, Shanghai Horizon Construction Development Co., Ltd. and China National Nonferrous Metal Industry Fourteenth Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. jointly won the bid to the PPP project of the site selection and new construction of the 28th Middle School of Kunming, Yunan Province with an estimated total investment of 905 million yuan. As a people’s livelihood project to improve the living conditions of inhabitants of North Kunming and promote the development of local education, this project has been now included in the list of key projects at provincial, municipal and district levels. It is the 6th cultural and educational engineering project implemented by Horizon Construction Development, and subsequently the Company will keep serving China’s infrastructure construction with social capital and contributing its strength to the development of local education. 

06.Grand Flight Investment Exploring and Advancing in the Direction of Technology Consumption 

—  Investment in Data Infrastructure Provider DataPipeline

Recently, the next-generation data infrastructure provider DataPipeline announced that it has completed a Series B+ financing totaling 120 million yuan with investment from renowned strategic investors and Grand Light Investor. Up to now, DataPipeline has completed five rounds of financing, its investors including Grand Flight Investment, Jinshajiang Venture Capital, Matrix Partners, Baidu Ventures, FreesFund and Crystal Stream, with funds raised amounting to several hundred million yuan. Pei Geng, Grand Flight Investment’s technology investment partner, expressed that, with the rapid growth of digital assets, the improvement of data security standard and the infiltration of the idea of Dataops, it is believed that DataPipeline will continue to maintain its leading edge in the field of data fusion as the key middleware, and contribute increasingly more strength to the construction of China’s digital economy. 

—  Technology Investment Partner Won the “Best Young Investor” Title

On May 4, Chinese Venture released its 2021 list of the best young investors in China’s equity investment industry, and Pei Geng, Grand Flight Investment’s technology investment partner, received the title of “Best Young Investor in China’s Equity Investment Industry in 2021.” He has led investment in projects including Gaussian Robotics, ROKAE, Esign, Hanbon Sci. & Tech., Lianbo Precision Technology, DataPipeline, etc. in succession. 

07.Far East Horizon’s Urban Operation Department Implemented Its First Hotel Project in Chengdu

On May 17, the ZMAX HOTELS (Kuanzhai Alley) jointly created by the Urban Operation Department of Far East Horizon and Jinjiang Hotel celebrated its grand opening. ZMAX HOTELS is a mid0-to-high end brand under Jinjiang Hotel, and this project is a key project in the upgrading and reconstruction of a local characteristic food street. Trough strenuous cultivation of the Chengdu Market, the Urban Operation Department of Far East Horizon has implemented 8 urban renewal projects here with more than 33,000 square meters of stock property revitalized accumulatively since reaching strategic cooperation in 2019.

Since its establishment in July 2020, Far East Horizon’s Urban Operation Department has continued to help governments and enterprises with the revitalization of stock assets, and utilized its ability of assets operation to deepen the connotation of urban business operation and enrich the means of services. In two years, with business scope expanded from apartments to hotels, office buildings, commercial buildings and even parking lots and industrial parks, it has preliminarily built the capabilities to study, judge and operate operating assets, and devoted itself to becoming an “expert in the revitalization of business assets by your side.”

08.Horizon Healthcare Saluted Hospital Nurses on May 12 the International Nurses Day

To celebrate the 111th International Nurses Day and carry forward the Nightingale spirit, Horizon Healthcare and its member hospitals have carried out a series of events in diversified forms. At the Nurses Day commendation conference, nursing personnel and teams with selfless contribution in the battle against COVID-19 and outstanding performance in nursing work received recognition and commendation. Through activities like nursing skill competitions, nursing case sharing sessions and head nurse work exchange meetings, nursing personnel not only enhanced and improved their professional skills, but also got the chances to study and exchange with others. In addition, in line with the theme of “caring for the nurse team and safeguarding the health of the people,” Horizon Healthcare initiated the “Angle Loves Popularization of Science” event to disseminate health-related knowledge, during which nursing personnel popularized healthcare knowledge and concepts closely related to the life of the people through ofline health education and online science popularization videos.  

  
09.Horizon Healthcare’s “Green Pine Dynamic” Clinical Class Began Practical Learning Visits to Reinforce Cultivation of Medical Talent

Under the guidance of the idea of “centering around medical care,” Horizon Healthcare developed and implemented the “Three-Pine Dynamic Talent Development Plan” which is committed to creating a talent cultivate mode conforming to its business features and development goals. As part of the plan, the “Green Pine Dynamic Talent Development Program” facing the backbone personnel of hospital departments has carried out multiple trainings and exchange activities, and recently the clinical class has officially begun visits to learn in practice. 9 director mentors led 58 heads of clinical departments to pay learning visits to designated hospitals with task team as the unit, so as to promote the rapid growth of trainees through guidance and teaching, and create the “reservoir” of medical personnel by combining “training + education.”

10.Horizon Education’s Flagship School Successfully Completed POE Assessment Work

Due to the impact of COVID-19, this year some IGCSE and A-Level summer exams have been replaced with POE (Portfolio of Evidence) scheme, i.e. a collection of documents compiled through schools to show competence against a set of learning outcomes, which are submitted to the examination board for rating to determine the score of each grade. Hongwen School Shanghai Campus, a flagship school of Horizon Education, developed a comprehensive contingency plan for POE assessment the first time, to help students with POE submission during home quarantine by ensuring that each link is just and fair and every step is accurate and free of errors.
