Recently, the “520 Social Responsibility Day” event had its highlights. Successfully held in Beijing, the “520 Social Responsibility Day Midsummer Night” was attended by nearly 120 expert scholars and guests from enterprises, foundations/NGOs, academia and media with different backgrounds and culture, who co-witnessed the final reveal of the selection results of “520 Social Responsibility Day Cases” and felt the power of the responsibility culture. Fehorizon’s “Carbon Neutrality Target and Strategy Formulation Project” was awarded as an excellent case of “Carbon Expert” climate action, and its “Qianlicao Education Volunteer Service Project” was selected for the excellent case competition.

520 Social Responsibility Day

Jointly set up in 2017 by 13 experts concerned about sustainable development, “520 Social Responsibility Day” is aimed at “encouraging enterprises to take practical actions, appealing to the public for attention and advocating the society to echo” and devoted to promoting social responsibility as a popular culture with a series of events participated by the public. The “excellent case selection” of the 2023 “520 Social Responsibility Day” involves cases from nearly 80 enterprises/institutions, with online voting by more than 320,000 person-times and technical support from 12 top experts of the industry. Thus, the awards are highly valued.

Excellent Case

Fehorizon’s Carbon Neutrality Target and Strategy Formulation Project

In December 2022, Fehorizon’s Board of Directors examined and passed a bill named “Company Carbon Goal Planning,” which determined the strategic target of striving to achieve carbon peaking by 2025 and realize whole-value-chain carbon neutrality by 2050. The setting process of this goal complies with the requirements of the Science Based Targets. Based on simulation of multiple carbon emission scenarios of Fehorizon in the future 30 years and calculation of changes in the cost and revenue of different emission reduction plans under various scenarios, the specific goal of the Company is ultimately established as realizing whole-value-chain carbon neutrality ten years ahead of China’s 30/60 “dual carbon” goal.

According to plan, Fehorizon will fulfil its promise and verify the completion of its scientific carbon goal in 2 years, and issue the first report in compliance with the requirements of the ISSB’s IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), to steadily promote the smooth realization of the Company’s carbon neutrality goal by perfecting analysis and assessment.

  Qianlicao Education Volunteer Service Project

  Qianlicao Education Volunteer Service Project is a whole-new mode of education promotion for public welfare—“life support + academic guidance + personality cultivation + ideological education + psychological counseling + growth planning.” By creating an efficient, reliable and diversified project platform, it integrates various public welfare resources for education promotion and engages more volunteers including staff and college students, to actually help impoverished primary and secondary school students in mountainous regions to solve difficulties in ideology, study and life, strive to promote their healthy growth, and actually transform the “blood transfusion mode” in education promotion for public welfare into the “blood formation mode.”

In 2022, 30 volunteers in the Qianlicao Education Volunteer Service Project provided about 1,680 hours of volunteer services, and helped about 200 children in rural areas with the new mode through a series of events such as “Etiquette Lecture,” “Life Experience,” “From Village to City” and “Educational Metamorphosis.”

In the future, Fehorizon will still adhere to the main idea of “creating shared value and promoting harmonious development,” foster the overall sustainable development of the society with the integration of “finance + industry,” actively promote the healthy, sustainable, steady and harmonious development of industrial economy and the entire society, and contribute its strength to creating a better world.
