CEO Kong Fanxing Visited Cambridge, Oxford and Coventry to Promote the Internationalization of Education Industry

Recently, a team led by Mr. Kong Fanxing (Chairman, Executive Director and CEO of Fehorizon) went to Cambridge, Oxford and Coventry to inspect a series of schools in great depth. This visit is focused on the internationalization of education industry: on the one hand, deepen internal and external cooperation and further clarify strategies and enrich resources, to provide a powerful impetus for Horizon Education to enter the first echelon of school-running institutions; on the other hand, integrate education resources in China and the UK and upgrade the mode revolving around the Company’s competitive advantages as a “marketized, internationalized and specialized” enterprise and the means of “serving enterprises and serving entrepreneurs,” to highlight its internationalization and help to implement the strategy of serving entrepreneurs.

Inspect Fehorizon’s National Mathematics and Science College

Promote Campus Expansion and Collaborative School Running


The National Mathematics and Science College is a first-rate high school under Fehorizon as part of its overseas layout. Featuring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education, it has been ranked among TOP 10 private schools in the UK for many years consecutively. CEO Kong and his party first went to the National Mathematics and Science College, to hear about the school’s development plan after campus expansion and its strategy of coordinated development with the Company’s flagship school in China—the Hong Wen School.

At present, the National Mathematics and Science College has already begun collaboration with the Hong Wen School on tutoring for application, joint training of students and recruitment of teachers. In early 2023, the Hong Wen School and the National Mathematics and Science College came up with the “China-UK Joint Training” program, which engages excellent teachers and academic resources of both schools to create an innovative development path for students with STEM advantages to utilize resources in China and the UK to study across borders and enter a higher-grade school.

Mr. Kong provided guidance and suggestions regarding how to coordinate the National Mathematics and Science College with the Hong Wen School as well as how to integrate into the Company’s financial ecosystem and serve the general strategy of serving entrepreneurs.

Follow Up on Cooperation with Cambridge University

In May 2023, Professor Dame Madeleine Atkins—President of Lucy Cavendish College and Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge University—visited China, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Fehorizon at the Far East Horizon Plaza in Shanghai, and inspected the Hong Wen School (Shanghai Campus).

This time, a delegation led by CEO Kong paid a special visit to the Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge University in return, to learn about the progress of cooperation and the school’s development trend and further deepen the partnership between both parties. Through its cooperation with Cambridge University, Fehorizon has extended its financial and industrial resources to overseas universities, meanwhile offering the numerous students of Horizon Education and those aspiring to scale academic heights of the world more possibilities.

Besides Lucy Cavendish College, the delegation also visited the King’s College, Trinity College and Botany School of Cambridge University, to further expand the connection and cooperation between Cambridge University and Fehorizon.

Visit Time-honored Academic Institution of Oxford University

Seek Cooperation Opportunities Following the Soul of Education Development


Later, the delegation visited St. Edmund Hall and the Humanities Division of another top university in the UK—Oxford University. St. Edmund Hall is praised as “one of the oldest academic institution of the world” and the last surviving medieval academic hall at Oxford University. Its creation is estimated at around 1236, and St. Edmund Hall is the epitome of the development and vicissitudes of education. Professor Dame Kathy Willis of St. Edmund Hall received CEO Kong and his party in person. St. Edmund Hall is famous for its outstanding quality of scholarship and solid community relations, and this visit of Fehorizon is aimed at exploring possibilities of future cooperation with Oxford University and finding a path to further the internationalization of the education industry.

This meaningful trip of education taken by CEO Kong to the UK is not only a visit to top British universities, but also the convergence of Fehorizon’s thinking on education development and a quest for cooperation opportunities. It strengthens the Company’s international strategy for the education industry, and consolidates the foundation and diversifies the resources to bring Horizon Education to the world-leading level. Meanwhile, this visit has further combined the education resources within and outside the Company, at home and abroad, promoted the close integration of financial business and education industry, explored the education system with Far East characteristics, and enriched the connotations of the Company’s strategy of serving entrepreneurs.
