On October 13, the 2023 Jiangsu-Hong Kong Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was successfully held at the Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong. Fehorizon (03360.HK) attended the conference upon invitation and took part in the on-site signing ceremony.
Hosted by the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province and sponsored by and InvestHK the HKTDC, this Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference received generous support from The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Chinese Importers’ & Exporters’ Association, the Federation of HK Jiangsu Community Organizations, the Hong Kong Belt & Road General Chamber of Commerce, etc.

The conference was chaired by Deputy Provincial Governor Mr. Fang Wei from the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province. Mr. Warner Cheuk Wing-hing, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration from the Government of HKSAR, made a speech, and the keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Jiangsu and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress. The conference was attended by representatives of LOCPG HK and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC in HKSAR; principal leaders of the Party Committee of Jiangsu Province; representatives of relevant departments of the provincial government, cities with subordinate districts and key enterprises of Jiangsu; representatives of the political circles and business circles of Hong Kong as well as the headquarters of European and American transnational corporations in Hong Kong; and representatives of chamber of commerce associations.

Executive Director and Senior Vice President of Fehorizon Mr. Cao Jian attended the Conference on behalf of the Company, along with Mr. Zhang Quanquan (General Manager of Investor Relations Department and Head of Administrative Affairs of the Hong Kong office) and Mr. He Qiang (Jiangsu Branch Leader of Public Utilities Department).
It was mentioned at the Conference that Jiangsu and Hong Kong have always maintained good economic and trade cooperation. For Jiangsu Province, Hong Kong has been the No.1 source of foreign capital and the No.1 destination of overseas investment. As of August 2023, Hong Kong has directly invested in 34584 enterprises in Jiangsu cumulatively, and the amount of actually used foreign capital has reached USD 258.96 billion. Meanwhile, Hong Kong also serves as an important platform for Jiangsu-based enterprises to “go global.” At present, 101 Jiangsu-based enterprises are listed in Hong Kong, with market value approaching HKD 950 billion. Jiangsu and Hong Kong both play an important role in the national development strategies for the Yangtze River Delta region and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The overall development layout of China promises broad space for cooperation between Jiangsu and Hong Kong in promoting major strategies including the “dual-cycle development pattern” and the Belt and Road Initiative.

37 cooperation projects were signed on site at the Conference, covering areas including industry cooperation, trade & investment, and technology & culture. A cooperation framework agreement for new energy fund project was signed by Mr. Cao Jian (on behalf of Fehorizon) and Mr. Yang Bo (member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Jianye District, Nanjing and Executive Deputy Head of Jianye District).
This August, Mr. Jiang Chen, Deputy Secretary of the Jianye District Committee and Head of Jianye District, Nanjing, led a team to visit the Hong Kong headquarters of Fehorizon, and talked with Fehorizon’s Executive Director and Senior Vice President Mr. Cao Jian about serving regional economy and promoting cooperation in multiple areas. This time, the signing of a project cooperation agreement signifies a new level of the cooperation between both parties.
As a Hong Kong-invested enterprise, Fehorizon centers on the development orientation of “Backed by Mainland, Based in Hong Kong, Influencing Southeast Asia” and focuses on Hong Kong, China and the Chinese mainland in its main business layout. Adhering to the “finance +industry” development mode and devoted to serving real economy, it will continue to give play to its basic advantages as a marketized, internationalized and specialized enterprise to serve urban upgrade and industrial upgrade in the future.
