According to 2022 China Statistics: Public Health, by the end of 2021, there have been a total of 36,570 hospitals throughout China, among which are 11,804 public hospitals and 24,766 private hospitals. China encourages the development of non-public hospitals with a series of policies and practice, including the Opinions on Promoting the Sustainable, Healthy and Standardized Development of Non-Public Hospitals in 2019, and the promulgation of the 2021 Major Task List on Deepening the Medical and Health Care System Reform and the Public Service Plan for the “14th Five-Year Plan” Period in 2021. From January to September 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, Nayong Xinli Hospital’s number of outpatients doubled up while the number of operations increased by nearly 40%, which is mainly attributable to needs for joint replacement and patients with spinal diseases. Therefore, the operating income of Nayong Xinli Hospital’s Department of Orthopedics achieved a year-over-year growth of more than 30% thanks to the technological support provided by Zhoushan Dinghai Guanghua Hospital. At present, Horizon Healthcare owns 3 special orthopedics hospitals and 23 member hospitals with independent orthopedics departments, covering more than 50 orthopedics business units.
