Part 1 Release of Far East Horizon’s 2022 ESG Report

In 2022, at the beginning of a new journey, Far East Horizon actively propelled the integration of ESG factors into operating management, practiced sustainable development in great depth, stressed five major social responsibilities including responsibilities towards investors, clients, staff, environment and public wellness, promoted the healthy, sustainable, steady and harmonious development of industrial economy as well as the society, and created value for all interested parties.

Part 2 Official Granting of Type 1 License by the HKSFC

Recently, upon approval by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (HKSFC), Far East Horizon’s subsidiary Far East Horizon International Securities Limited was officially granted Type 1 license. So far, Far East Horizon has obtained approval for conducting regulated activities including “dealing in securities” (Type 1), “advising on securities” (Type 4) and “asset management” (Type 9). With Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 licenses granted by the HKSFC, in the future the Company will further open up the channel between domestic and overseas capital markets, improve its integrated financial service capability, provide in-depth services to core clients at home and aboard, and strive to realize the strategic goal of “globalization of resources and globalization of operation.”

Part 3 Far East Horizon’s 2023 Urban Development Summit Forum Convened in Hong Kong

Recently, the 2023 Urban Development Summit Forum hosted by Far East Horizon was successfully convened in Hong Kong, China. This was the first time that the forum was held overseas.

The welcoming remarks were given by Mr. Ma Hong, Assistant President of Far East Horizon. With “integrating global resources and promoting industry development” as the theme, the forum cast the spotlight on individualized needs of high-end clients. Hong Kong’s renowned financial experts, economists and representatives from chambers of commerce were invited to share and communicate with clients. The attending guests of this forum were also invited to visit the Far East Horizon Headquarters at the International Commerce Centre in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Surrounded by a beautiful seascape and the spectacular urban landscape of Hong Kong, both parties conducted warm and sufficient business communication.

Part 4 Successful Convening of Far East Horizon’s Chemical & Pharmaceutical Industry Seminar Themed “Making Plans in Tune with the Times and Taking the Opportunity to Achieve Win-Win Operation”

From April 13-16, hosted by Chemical & Medicine Department I of Far East Horizon, the chemical & pharmaceutical industry seminar themed “Making Plans in Tune with the Times and Taking the Opportunity to Achieve Win-Win Operation” was successfully convened in Guizhou. Far East Horizon’s Assistant President Mr. Zhan Jing gave the opening speech, while over 60 guests from quality enterprises of China’s chemical and pharmaceutical industry gathered together and exchanged ideas in great depth. Relying on its professional resources in fields including finance, industrial investment and operation, etc., Far East Horizon hopes to join hands with clients within the industry to focus on and delve into this industry and keep forging ahead with constant innovation, so as to promote the improvement of the international competitiveness of China’s chemical and pharmaceutical industry and help enterprises to explore a new path of high-quality development.

Part 5 Successful Convening of Far East Horizon 2023 Transportation & Logistics Industry Summit Forum

From April 19-22, Far East Horizon’s Transportation & Logistics Department III successfully hosted the “Far East Horizon 2023 Transportation & Logistics Industry Summit Forum” with the welcoming remarks given by Far East Horizon’s Assistant President Mr. Ma Hong. Attended by over 80 persons in charge of management from more than 40 transportation & logistics enterprises, this forum offered the attending guests a platform for communication, exchange and co-learning. Through multi-dimensional collision of thoughts, professional sharing at a deeper level and trans-regional business communication, together they discussed the path of industry development and explored the way of long-term and win-win cooperation. Facing the future, Far East Horizon will join hands and advance side by side with a large number of clients, and contribute to the prosperity and development of China’s transportation & logistics industry with joint efforts.

Part 6 Far East Horizon Visited Henan Airport Investment Group and Xi’an Urban Development Group

Recently, Far East Horizon’s Assistant President Mr. Zhan Jing along with General Manager Wei Xinfang of Public Utilities Department I, Senior Director of Northern Business Development Lu Wei, etc. visited Henan Airport Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Urban Development (Group) Co., Ltd. respectively to discuss business.

Henan Airport Investment Group

Mr. Zhan Jing and his party acquired detailed knowledge of Henan Airport Investment Group’s business mode in fields including urban development, urban public utilities and industrial park operation. Both parties exchanged ideas on issues regarding early repurchase of sector funds, repo-to-maturity of FEPC, continued issuance of dollar bonds, etc. Meanwhile, in-depth communication and exchanges were conducted targeting the business line, product line and integrated financial services of Far East Horizon’s Public Utilities Department, which lays a solid foundation for subsequent business cooperation between the two parties.

Xi’an Urban Development Group

During the visit, Far East Horizon and Xi’an Urban Development Group (“Xi’an Urban Development”) exchanged comprehensive details of their respective development situations. It is learned that in addition to conventional urban renewal business, Xi’an Urban Development has made arrangements in industries including aerospace, bio-pharmaceuticals and new energy based on the advantageous resources of colleges and universities in Xi’an surrounding the talent factor, meanwhile taking the marketization and platformization of project operation as the overall development idea. Mr. Zhan Jing particularly introduced the business mode of Far East Horizon’s Public Utilities Department, and expressed that Far East Horizon will focus on the key industry directions of its clients, integrate the Company’s resources and unitize a diversity of products to promote comprehensive cooperation between the two parties over a longer term.

Part 7 Grand Flight Led Diagens Biotechnology’s Series C Financing Totaling Over 100 Million Yuan

China’s leading reproductive health enterprise Hangzhou Diagens Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (“Diagens Biotechnology”) announced its completion of financing totaling over 100 million yuan. This financing round was led by Grand Flight and followed by Mega Glory Investment and Yu Jing Kai Equity Fund, with additional investment made by existing shareholder Xiangjiang Liyuan Investment.

Part 8 FE Fund-Invested Enterprise Insight Lifetech Submitted Application for IPO on STAR Market

According to the official website of Shanghai Stock Exchange, the application for STAR listing of Shenzhen Insight Lifetech Co., Ltd. (“Insight Lifetech”)—an enterprise invested by FE Fund—has been accepted. With China International Capital Corporation Limited as the sponsor, it plans to raise 1.274 billion yuan.

Part 9 Mayor of Chuzhou Wu Jing Visited Far East Horizon Plaza

On April 23, Mayor Wu Jing of Chuzhou City and his party visited Far East Horizon Plaza, and held talks with Vice President of Far East Horizon and General Manager of Horizon Healthcare Mr. Li Jiancheng, to investigate the good development results under the guidance of Far East Horizon’s “finance + industry” strategy in great depth and communicate about many innovative types of business relating to urban upgrade and big health. Mr. Li Jiancheng thanked the municipal Party committee and municipal government of Chuzhou for supporting Far East Horizon and Horizon Healthcare over the years, further introduced Far East Horizon’s business layout and diversified and coordinated development in Anhui Province and Chuzhou City, and expressed hopes for deepening and expanding the government-enterprise cooperation mode based on Far East Horizon’s diversified business ecosystem and striving to satisfy the healthcare needs and demand for a better life of the local people through joint efforts.

Part 10 Horizon Construction Development Promoting the Development of Formwork Industry; Successful Convening of High-Strength Turnbuckle Formwork Standard Review Meeting

From April 8-9, the review meeting of the Technical Specification for Application of High-Strength Turnbuckle Formwork (Draft for Review) and the Components of High-Strength Turnbuckle Formwork (Draft for Review) hosted by Southeast University and Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. and organized by Horizon Construction Development Co., Ltd. was held in Shanghai.

The review panel and representatives queried and discussed the standards clause by clause in an extremely lively atmosphere. The expert team made suggestions from multiple dimensions including the completeness, rationality and accuracy of the standards, with a review opinion formed eventually. Professor of Tongji University and leader of the expert team Ying Huiqing announced that both standards have passed the review successfully with scientific and rational content and great practicality. These standards can promote the green and low-carbon development of the engineering and construction industry and have reached international advanced level.

In the afternoon of April 9, Professor-level Senior Engineer Liu Xinyu of China Huaxi Construction Group, Professor Zhuo Xin of Zhejiang University, Professor Zhu Mingliang of Southeast University, etc. visited the Jinshan Base of Far East Horizon. The experts expressed a high degree of recognition of Horizon Construction Development’s perseverance in product quality and contribution to promoting the beneficial development of the entire industry.

Part 11 Zhongxiang Jiajing Avenue Project Invested and Operated by Horizon Construction Development Won the Title of “2022 Municipal Demonstration Project of Hubei Province”

Recently, the Zhongxiang Jiajing Avenue (K0+000-K7+229.751) project (“Zhongxiang Jiajing Avenue” in short) invested by Horizon Construction Development and undertaken by The Second Construction Co., Ltd of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau and CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd. won the honorary title of “2022 Municipal Demonstration Project of Hubei Province.” With a total investment of about 1 billion yuan, this project began construction in October 2018 and was completed and accepted as qualified by December 2020. It has withstood many trials during the construction process, and is ultimately put into use successfully. As an important east-west channel of Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province, Zhongxiang Jiajing Avenue (now “Shicheng Avenue”) has a total length of about 7.2 km. Its completion has not only connected Zaoyang-Qianjiang Expressway with the urban area of Zhongxiang, but also realized traffic diversion at the Zhongxiang Railway Station and facilitated daily transportation for residents along the line. Meanwhile, the supporting pipeline project has further improved the urban road management level of Zhongxiang City and set aside previous space for urban development.
