Recently, leaders of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area and Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area led their respective teams to visit the Hong Kong headquarters of Fehorizon, and talked about cooperation with relevant personnel of Fehorizon, including Zhan Jing (Assistant President), Wei Xinfang (General Manager of Public Utilities Department I) and Zhang Quanquan (General Manager of Investor Relations Department and Head of Administrative Affairs of the Hong Kong office). The two parties conducted in-depth exchanges regarding complementing each other’s advantages, carrying out model innovation and realizing win-win development.

On November 11, Secretary Hong Shicong and his party visited the Hong Kong headquarters of Fehorizon, and was received warmly by Fehorizon’s Assistant President Zhan Jing, who introduced the development situation of Fehorizon. As a Hong Kong-invested enterprise centering on the strategic orientation of “Backed by Mainland, Based in Hong Kong, Influencing Southeast Asia,” Fehorizon provides financial services revolving around basic industries of national economy and people’s livelihood, contributes to industrial development, and offers more extensive, diversified and comprehensive services for urban development.

According to Secretary Hong Shicong, Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area is one of the first national development areas approved by the State Council in 1984, and its main economic indicators and comprehensive development level have continued to remain leading among national development areas. Contributing to 17%-18% of the overall GDP of Tianjin, it is a major pillar of Tianjin and Binhai New Area. Secretary Hong mentioned that the four major platforms of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area will further deepen cooperation with Fehorizon in various directions such as debt and equity, and reinforce domestic-overseas linkages based on the advantages of Fehorizon as a Hong Kong-invested enterprise.

In-depth exchanges were also conducted surrounding cooperation directions including combination of advantageous resources, new energy projects, asset revitalization, and disposal of non-performing and idle assets.

On November 13, Secretary Xia Qingin met with Assistant President Zhan Jing for talks at the Hong Kong headquarters of Fehorizon. President Zhan Jing extended a warm welcome to the guests. In recent years, Fehorizon and Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area have already laid a solid foundation for cooperation, and the “finance + industry” business mode of Fehorizon is highly consistent with that of the Hi-Tech Area. The Company will continue to consolidate its resources, give play to its advantages as a marketized, internationalized and specialized enterprise, provide all-round financial and industrial services to the Hi-Tech Area, and offer great help in directions such as investment attraction, industry introduction, asset revitalization and overseas resources.

Secretary Xia Qinglin mentioned that, Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area was established with the approval of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government in 1988; then it became the sixth national independent innovation demonstration zone of China upon approval by the State Council in 2014, and an interactive innovation zone of China’s free trade zones and high-tech areas in 2021. Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area has independent approval power in terms of ODI and FDI, and its key development industry directions include application and innovation of information technology, service industry of new economy, biomedicine, new energy & new materials, high-end equipment, and so on.

Later, Director Zhao Jing of the Biomedicine Industry Bureau of Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area introduced the history of cooperation between High-Tech Area and Fehorizon, and expressed hopes for more cooperation opportunities in directions including cross-border finance, inclusive finance, industry fund, non-performing assets, and supply chain finance.
