As the National Day approaches in the golden autumn, the festive Chinese red gradually covers Hong Kong. A colorful variety of celebrations are carried out successively while the holiday atmosphere permeates the island.

On September 28, Fehorizon’s party themed “Spreading Love to Every Household” was held in Hong Kong. Representatives of good-hearted people from Hong Kong’s government departments, youth organizations, elderly centers and ethnic minority groups as well as more than 200 elderly people from different communities and neighborhoods enjoyed a happy get-together. They shared their love for the nation, sang praises to the magnificent landscape of the motherland, and offered blessings for its longevity, jointly celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 

The event was attended by Fehorizon’s Executive Director and Senior Vice President Mr. Cao Jian and Vice President Mr. Wang Ruisheng, with a speech given by Mr. Cao. Other attendees include Mr. Wong Cing-fuk (Deputy Director-General of the Hong Kong Island Sub-office of the LOCPG), Mr. Chen Ka-leung (Police Community Relations Officer and Chief Inspector of Police of the Eastern District), Ms. Leung Bo-kei (Director of the Causeway Bay Liaison Team of the Home Affairs Department of the Eastern District), Mr. Leung Hei (member of the Legislative Council) and members of the Eastern District Council including Mr. Hung Lin-cham and Mr. Ting Kong-ho.

At 12:00 in the noon , the national anthem was played in a solemn setting. Everyone in the hall stood up and sang along in unison, to wish China happy birthday. Thus, the event officially began. 

In his speech, Fehorizon’s Executive Director and Senior Vice President Mr. Cao Jian indicated that Fehorizon is also a member of the Hong Kong community, and that at the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China, to invite caring people from various circles of the society to together contribute to a harmonious and diversified community and further promote the fusion and development of diversified cultures in Hong Kong is a practical action of Fehorizon to express its love and respect for the motherland as well as to fulfill its responsibility for serving the society and giving back to the society.

 “It is exactly the generous sponsorship from Fehorizon that led to such success of the event!” said Mr. Ting Kong-ho (member of the Eastern District Council) in his speech. While celebrating the birthday of New China, looking at the past 75 years, every Chinese should take pride in the achievements that have been made. Today, Hong Kong has entered a whole-new development stage, and perfecting regional governance has entered a milestone from governance to prosperity. People from all walks of life should make joint efforts to keep improving people’s livelihood and construct a beautiful Hong Kong, which is also the spirit of the event today.

With merry friends at sumptuous banquets, the National Holiday is celebrated by all. Accompanied by fine music and wonderful performance, Fehorizon’s Executive Director and Senior Vice President Mr. Cao Jian and Vice President Mr. Wang Ruisheng together with representatives of various parties exchanged greetings with the attending guests and neighborhood seniors. Toasts were given one by one, along with exquisite gifts and fresh fruits and vegetables which just arrived from Gao Ze Xiang Yuan—Fehorizon’s exclusive farm, to wish them health and longevity.

“I’m so happy to celebrate our nation’s birthday with so many people! This event is very meaningful!” Small wine glasses conveyed deep feelings. The elderly people present were extremely satisfied with the party with their thumbs up. Ms. Huang, an old lady in her 70s from a community, said to Mr. Cao Jian in excitement with a vegetable gift box in her hand, “We also got vegetables and fruit from you the last time. They are very fresh. That’s so thoughtful for our elderly people!” The party climaxed amid joy and laughter while people toasted each other.

This March, with a donation of UKD $250,000 from Fehorizon and its management, the Company launched the “Bright Eyes for the Future” program in the eastern district of Hong Kong, which has already benefited 10 senior citizens by helping them to receive successful cataract surgeries and regain a colorful life.

This June, while celebrating the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to motherland, the Company gave out “lucky bags” to elderly people and grass-roots families in Hong Kong, benefiting nearly 500 households.
